On Sunday 13 September, SusWoT held its first “Bring and Share Harvest Supper” at Northcote Scout Hall on Great Brockeridge.
Despite the challenges of growing anything in last summer’s very hot weather, SusWoT wanted to come together to celebrate that we could still grow some fruit and vegetables.
Between 4pm and 7pm, 20 of us gathered to enjoy delicious, buffet-style homemade dishes (and a couple of shop-bought puddings) using produce from gardens, allotments, and local veg shops.
The atmosphere was casual and convivial with animated conversation at all the tables. There were games and quizzes available to help pass the time, as well as some background music to set the scene.
The organising committee were so caught up in the occasion they forgot to take any pictures!
